Terms for creating and sharing albums.

1. The Service

PhotoBookLab ("we", "us") provides a web-based platform for creating AI-assisted photo story albums ("Albums"). You may access the service via a web browser. We may update, add, or remove features at any time.

2. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@photobooklab.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all photos, text, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By using the service you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the platform and provide the service to you. You must only upload content you have the right to use. Do not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others.

4. AI Features

Album briefs, chapter plans, captions, layouts, and other AI-generated outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI output before sharing it. AI features consume credits from your balance as documented in the app.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. All prices shown are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. By completing a purchase you authorise us to charge the stated amount.

• Keepsake (one-time): Charged once at checkout. Price depends on the page count you select.
• Plus / Studio subscriptions: Billed monthly or annually in advance. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
• AI Credit packs: Charged once. Credits are added to your account immediately and never expire.

6. Refunds

Keepsake purchases: You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not used any AI credits on the order. Contact us at support@photobooklab.com with your order details.

Subscriptions (Plus / Studio): You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused days. If you are charged after a cancellation you believed was in effect, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate.

AI Credit packs: Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law.

Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending investigation.

7. Subscriptions — Managing and Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings page. After cancellation your albums become read-only at the end of the billing period; we do not delete your albums. To reactivate, simply subscribe again. If you need help cancelling, email support@photobooklab.com and we will action it within 1 business day.

8. AI Credits

Credits are consumed when you use AI features (captions, text blocks, image generation, voice transcription). Monthly subscription credits reset on your billing renewal date; unused monthly credits do not roll over. Purchased credit-pack credits never expire. We may adjust credit costs for features with reasonable notice.

9. Print-Ready PDF

Paid plans include a downloadable print-ready PDF. PhotoBookLab does not print or ship physical products. You are responsible for selecting a print service and for any costs they charge.

10. Sharing and Visibility

Albums are private by default. When you create a share link, any person with that link (and password, if set) can view the album. You are responsible for who you share links with. You can revoke share links at any time from the album settings.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use PhotoBookLab to: upload illegal, abusive, or privacy-violating content; impersonate any person or entity; attempt to access other users' data; scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the service; or resell access without written permission.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in serious cases. On termination, your albums become inaccessible. You may request an export of your own content within 30 days of termination by emailing us.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

PhotoBookLab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
